I still liked the Cuban guy that ran backwards, If I remember correctly he was also barefoot, but I may be wrong about that. I am guessing it was 1959 but could be wrong on that too. I suppose I could google it, but just did not feel like it right now. My all time favorite Olympian was "Eddie the eagle". British ski jumper in the late '80s. England had never had a ski jumper before. Eddie was the first, and he wasn't very good. There were a couple times where he even fell on the way down the ramp, and just kinda fell off the end.
