One Million Gun Permits Issued

Florida will soon become the first State with more than one million CCW permits issued. Although I'm pro gun and have a permit myself, it's the process of issuing these permits that concern me. Nothing on the CCW application asks if you're on strong "mood altering" drugs like Zimmerman was/is on. Or if you have ever been arrested for crimes of violence like Zimmerman was, only if you were convicted. Or if you ever had a "domestic violence" restraining order issued on you like Zimmerman had, only if it's still in effect. It's a scary world out there, and it's getting scarier.

You are right. I would hate to be a criminal busting into a home when the homeowner might be unbalanced and in possession of a firearm.
