So they are suddenly going to do what's right and start following laws? Especially living in the corrupt Chicago area where many of the already legal residents are involved in criminal activities and are not punished. Yea, right. You're assuming they're all in this country for the purposes of committing crimes. That's the bias and ignorance I was referring to earlier. People in this country need to get over the whole "they don't look or talk like me, so they must be up to no good and so I don't think they should be here" attitude. Unless you have some other data that no one else has seen I stand by my earlier point: the vast majority of immigrants (illegal or otherwise) come here to work hard and make a better life for themselves and their families. There are always exceptions to any rule, but it doesn't equate to the vast majority. There are far, far more "legal" people born and raised in this country who commit far more crimes. Interestingly, I don't read any posts from this forum screaming for them to stop it or they have to leave the country. Hmmm, wonder why that is. What part of illegal alien dont you understand?

FYI: Follow along. I understand illegal immigration is a crime. My point is that it's not why they came here. The vast majority aren't the ones committing any crimes. Get past the part about how they got here. Everybody already knows that. If you're going to hang your hat on that and ignore everything else then the problem will never be solved. What do you want? |
