Earn more, pay more?

Should those who earn more be expected to even pay more in taxes?

Lots of debate about this subject. I personally think that just because someone has worked hard and is now earning a much higher income doesn't mean they should have to pay more than what has been set into the existing tax code. Same would apply if they happen to do well investing their money.

Obviously this topic is getting more scrutiny since Romney is running for President. But the argument has been around for a while, pushed primarily by people who don't make as much.

Those guys making millions in profits in companies they own leave them alone too....

BTW..shouldn't this be in politics since you mentioned Romney?

You're not seriously trying to argue that high wage earners are paying less in taxes than those who are considered poor, are you?

I can't deny that I wish I didn't gave to give up any of my income, but I truly don't mind it. Taxes are necessary to keep the country going. My problem has always been withe the way the taxes are used.
