I understand the feeling. I use the computer because I need to use the computer. When I sit down to the computer It needs to do what I expect it to do. When distro developers leave the people who use their product behind .. .. it should not surprise those developers when the people, in turn, leave their products behind. I left Microsoft Windows behind when they went to Vista. I went to Ubuntu. Ubuntu decided to leave their users behind so I shifted to Mint. I don't mind learning new things but I need to be able to do what I need to do when I need to do it. Learning cannot get in the way of the tasks I need to accomplish. To the Distro developers I say, leave me behind and I will leave you behind.
