It's not about intelligence, it's about emotional state. Manti Te'o is a very smart guy. He's also pretty shy and not very confident around women. But he's also apparently naive and perhaps a bit needy, so much so that he was easier to trap in a scheme like this. I haven't heard anything yet to suggest he was lying or was purposely involved.

You asked in your opening post if he was lying. My answer was clear. I was referring to his involvement in the entire matter, which I said I didn't believe he was. I still don't. But yes, he briefly lied about it after discovering she didn't exist. He was embarrased and afraid to say anything. I don't think he's a bad guy so I'm willing to cut him a break. |

congratulations muffin, you're a paranoid, grumpy old man sitting on his porch yelling at the kids to get off his lawn. How long before you shoot one of them because you think they're "going to get you"? .....I'm just curious coastal, are you a non-smoker, do you enjoy listening to Wagner's "die walkure", and are you upset because there's a "Schwarzer"in the White House?  I do not smoke I enjoy classical music but not an expert on it, and I'm not familiar with Wagner's Die Walkure piece. I'm not upset that Obama is in the White House. What is your point? |
