Crap is right Since the only weapons covered by this amendment were and are muzzle loaders. IMO

IMO ......so you agree with Cuomo's reward program? ... every bozo with an ax to grind will be calling in false reports, and what about the follow-ups when the SS shows up at your door to take your guns (post Katrina) for "safe keeping".

I still believe this was the original intentions but we all know the NRA and most gun nuts wants us to follow THEIR version of the 2nd amendment (Since the only weapons covered by this amendment were and are muzzle loaders.) As for Cuomo,does anybody really listen to what he says? BTW..Katrina was a one time thing and it seems to have worked.

It says arms not muzzle loaders. There was a purpose for the people having a right to bear arms. There are numerous missives regarding the right to bear arms which were written at that time and which many of those are still available today for review. It had to do with being armed so as to protect one's self and family and community from attack regardless of the origination of the attackers. Obviously a muzzle loader would do little to protect against the types of arms available today.
