The program is funded through donations. Some of us consider pets to be family members. To those of us who feel this way, the idea of surrendering a pet, because the owner's family has temporarily fallen on hard times, is deplorable. I'm glad the help is available.

Sounds like a great program. It's not taxpayer funded. I see no problem with it. Don't know if I would call it a great program. It be ok. I see no problem with it either. There are plenty of useless foolish things people throw their money away on. At least this endeavor benefits something living.

It depends on your perspective, I guess. For me, anything that creates a reduction in the number of pets being turned in to shelters is a great program.
